Sarah Palin The Perfect Woman?

Dianne Linderman, of Newswithviews.com, wrote an insightfull piece on Governor Palin:

Let’s all agree that there is no perfect person, but have you ever asked yourself what the perfect women should be like? I have always known all my life! For myself, I am far from it. However, the more I observe Alaska’s former Governor Sarah Palin, the more I see that she has many of the attributes of the perfect woman.

Aside from her natural beauty, she exudes total confidence in a dignified but somewhat humble manner. She stands for all of the right principles in life and is not afraid of a good fight. She has chosen a ruggedly handsome husband who stands with her in her beliefs, while never losing his own direction. He does not seem at all threatened by her calling of leadership; on the contrary, he is part of the leadership and she would not have it any other way. Without ever having met her, I easily recognize her total love for her family. She makes mistakes and owns them and does not go into denial about what just happened. She moves onto the next thing because life is made up of so many little good and bad things that to dwell on any one could stop her on her path.

[...]

She loves her husband, and looks to him as a pillar of strength in her moments of need and is there for him in his. She doesn’t undermine his authority as a man, but stands by his side so as not to confuse the family order. She stands up to him with grace, forgives him when he fails and asks for forgiveness when she fails. Her admiration for her husband is pure respect and the family unit is strong because of it.

She has had a sudden calling in life and nothing can stop it. It is a drive that comes not from her but something greater than herself. Little did she know that greatness was in store for her; but she has never put it before her family. She finds the grace to make it all work in harmony. She sometimes struggles, not knowing the direction to take, but in the end the direction is unmistakable. Patience and faith always find her when she has an ultimate need of them.

[...]

Sarah Palin may or may not have all of these attributes, but my bet is that she has most of them. Many people have many ideas of what the perfect women should be, but when have we had the opportunity to observe a person who both men and women can identify with? This article is not necessarily about Sarah Palin, but about the awesome qualities women can aspire to. These very qualities have been disregarded and degraded by the superficial, clueless media, but most of us know who the real disasters are and what they represent!

Sarah Palin’s Son Track Returns From Iraq This Weekend!

We all knew he was due to return soon...but now we now for sure when he will be arriving back home!

Meg Stapleton issued the following statement: "The Palins are expecting the return of eldest son Track this weekend from a yearlong deployment with an Army combat brigade in Iraq,"

I have no doubt that Todd and Sarah and Bristol and Willow and Piper and the little ones, Trig and Tripp are OVER THE MOON knowing that in just a few days their beloved son and brother will be home from his tour of duty. Track Palin, as last I heard, had a pretty tough duty assignment...so he will probably be very happy to return to Alaska for some his Mom's moose chili, and some cozy nights snuggled in with his big family there at the house.

I know how emotional it was for my family when my own brother returned from the War in Iraq...so I am sure this will be a real time of laughter and tears, hugs and ecstastic joy for the Palins and their extended family. I am so happy for Todd and Sarah, that their son, who they are so proud of, is finally going to be back in their arms again!

GOD BLESS YOU, TRACK...AND THANK YOU FOR YOU SERVICE TO OUR NATION!!!!

Charles Krauthammer Backtracks On Gov Sarah Palin Comments

Columnist Ken Blackwell wrote an Op-Ed in the Washington Examiner demonstrating even someone as enlightened as Charles Krauthammer can make mistakes. Governor Palin’s “Death Panels” are very real, they sadly exists for our Veterans and are a necessity in every government run health care system around the globe.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was ordered out of the room by leading conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer, who is a medical doctor -- a rarity in the world of pundits.

Krauthammer said Palin's comments about "death panels" in Obamacare were not helpful in a serious debate on the government takeover of health care. But then Dr. Krauthammer wrote that the result would only be a "gentle nudge" toward that hooded figure in the corner of the room, that grim fellow with the scythe.

Hmmm. Maybe we should invite Palin to come back in.

Krauthammer wrote before we saw the Department of Veterans Affairs dredge up a how-to book on end-of-life decision making for wounded vets. The book, "Your Life-Your Choices," had been deep-sixed by the Bush administration. It was reissued by the Obama administration. The book includes various "exercises" for vets that suggest more than a gentle nudge toward death. How about a sharp kick?

What will our veterans, wounded and quite possibly depressed, think when they are given a book that tells them about the possibilities of ending it all? And what kind of help is it to gently nudge them toward the Hemlock Society -- that practiced ender of all pain? We need to focus more on what President Obama himself has said about ending lives. Now is when we really miss Tim Russert, who passed away suddenly in June 2008. In February of that year, Russert put an easy question to then-Sen. Obama during the Democrats' Cleveland debate. I remember it well.

RUSSERT: "Senator Obama, any statements or vote you'd like to take back?"

OBAMA: "Well, you know, when I first arrived in the Senate that first year, we had a situation surrounding Terri Schiavo.
