(Video) Sarah Palin Preview From Newsmax Webcast: "Make America Great Again"

Newsmax Webcast Oct 12th 1pm:
Some of the many highlights of the extended Reagan-Palin interview being aired Tuesday:
When Americans elected Barack Obama as president, they expected the economy and jobs to be his top priority. Instead, Palin tells Newsmax, the administration decided, "despite the will of the people being against Obamacare, we're going to shove this down your throat anyway."
Palin talks about being mocked for her warnings about what Obamacare would bring, including so-called “death panels.” She tells Newsmax: "I was about laughed out of town for bringing to light what I called death panels because there's going to be faceless bureaucrats who will based on cost analysis and some subjective ideas — somebody's productivity in life — somebody is going to call the shots to whether your loved one will be able to receive healthcare or not: to me, death panels. I call it like I saw it and people didn't like it."
She predicts that President Obama will continue favoring big-government nostrums, and she describes him as "quite naïve" and "stubborn." In one cryptic reference, she suggests that others may control Obama, stating that whoever “is pulling his strings" will not let the president adopt free-market solutions that would solve the nation's economic problems.
Palin contends that Obama is "slamming us to the mat" economically by opposing the extension of the Bush-era tax cuts. The nation "will be slammed with the highest tax increase in our history" unless the tax cuts are extended, she says.
The best-selling author and Fox News commentator says she wants to "call out" Obama for his conduct of military operations in the Middle East: "I want to say, 'You're going to send our troops there in the danger zone, you better have a darn good reason why they're going, and you better be committed to victory.'"
Allowing Islamic-oriented laws in U.S. communities would be "the downfall of America," Palin says, adding that Americans "will not put up with any hint of Shariah law being any sort of law of the land."
In greater detail than ever before, Palin talks about what factors might persuade her to run for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination. She even describes how a Palin presidency might look.

What Sarah Palin Needs To Do For A 2012 Presidential Run!

In the February issue (not available online) of Newsmax Dick Morris has some words of advice for Governor Palin:

So what’s ACT III for Sarah Palin?  Whatever the pundits may tell the American public, Palin was nothing less than a smash hit in ACT I.  She did for John McCain what no other vice president candidate has ever done for any other presidential candidate: She delivered the lead to him for nearly a month. […]

ACT II was also a huge success for Palin. Her autobiography will likely sell more than 3 million copies, rivaling the best of all time.  We have to assume ACT III will involve a presidential race in 2012.  To be viable, Palin needs to set to rest any doubts triggered when she decided to resign as governor of Alaska last year. […]

Now she needs to tell us why she quit.  Her best bet would be to say that, up in Alaska, she couldn’t give her best efforts and really participate in the coming campaign to throw out the Democrats from Congress in 2010.... she should say that she felt she could not do justice both to the needs of her constituents and the needs of her country. […]

And then Sarah should go to every fundraiser and chicken dinner she can find, stumping for Republican candidates in 2010.
Palin needs to do what Hillary Clinton did in 2006 and 2007.  Pile up IOUs from all of her formidable star power to raise funds for their Senate and congressional candidates as well as for their state parties.
With a solid record of accomplishment in 2010 she will improve her image and establish herself as the solid front-runner for 2012.

Governor Sarah Palin: Great Unifier Of The GOP

Our good friends at NewsMax and Phil Brennan wrote great piece on Governor Palin: Sarah Palin Is A Unifier for the Republican Party
When it comes to writing about Sarah Palin, the media seems compelled to focus on 2012 and her prospects of being the Republican presidential candidate despite the fact that it is a couple of years out.

It's something like putting her into a box that's not to be opened for another 2 ½ years. In addition to marginalizing her, it ignores the key role she's going to play in the crucial congressional elections next year when all 435 House seats and a third of the Senate seats are up for grabs.

Unlike her media critics, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fully grasps the significance of the outcome of those elections next year. Should the GOP capture control of the House in the 2010 elections, the threat to our nation's future posed by Barack Obama will be eliminated. He’ll be a lame duck for two long years.

[...]

It's apparent to me that Sarah Palin understands the pressing need for a unifying factor that will rally the voters around the Republican banner rather than around individual candidates. And I further believe that she recognizes that she herself is that unifying factor.

After all, it not her personal charm or her beauty, or her outspokenness that attracts large numbers of Americans. It is instead that the American people recognize her as unashamedly one of their number.  She's the woman next door, the one you meet at the grocery counter, an outgoing friendly neighbor whose head is screwed on straight and who views the world around her much in the way we ordinary folks do. It’s called common sense, unfortunately uncommon in the public square.

That, however, is not how the almost universally liberal media sees her.

To them she is a threat that must be faced and eliminated. She has a target on her back and their arrows are pointed at its center. She must be destroyed, her potential as a successful GOP presidential candidate utterly eliminated. Her candidacy must be strangled in the crib.  To the horror of her legion of leftist detractors, the more they attack her, the stronger she gets. She has a unique talent of recognizing opportunities to get her points across coupled with the knowledge of when and how to strike and when and how to retreat temporarily and tantalizingly from public view.

Take the case of her forthcoming book. It has yet to be released; nobody has the vaguest idea of what it is about; and sight unseen, it is already a runaway best-seller.  If she can market a book in this manner, marketing herself and her political philosophy will be a cinch.

Keep your eyes on her role in the 2010 elections. It will be a portent of things to come.
