I think that Pawlenty realizes that if Palin runs in the primaries, he doesn't stand a chance, so he's trying to be nice in hopes he gets the VP slot. I notice even Gingrich admitted that Palin may very well win the nomination in 2012, because "she has a lot of support out there." Huckabee even said good things about her last week. They all know that she will be able to draw crowds in the thousands and even tens of thousands, and they'll struggle to get 500, plus she'll have a book that hit the best sellers list by then as well. Romney has remained pretty silent on her, but he sure has had his henchmen out there attacking her.
